This project addresses the intersecting challenges faced by women and LGBT individuals in refugee camps by integrating gender-based violence (GBV) awareness with practical tools for socio-economic advancement.
Through targeted GBV training sessions, participants learn strategies to prevent and respond to psychological and physical harm, fostering safer and more informed communities. We have systematically taught manual skills to start a small business for women and LGBT people, providing employment opportunities that enable them to earn their own income and support their families.
During the duration of the project, some refugee camps have started to accept LGBT communities and the female refugees are opening small businesses for economic activities.
